چکیده
In this paper, the fatigue behavior of titanium microalloyed beam steels were studied by high cycle test and crack growth rate test. The effect Mg addition on in steel was systematically analyzed. According to experimental results, magnesium can effectively modify inclusions reducing size Al2O3 TiN promoting formation finer complex with a MgO·Al2O3 core high-strength steel. number had far less an impact characteristic than inclusion size. With heterogeneous nucleation MgO·Al2O3, are refined after addition. tensile strength Beam-2 decreased approximately 54 MPa, while its increased about 33 showing favorable resistance. These findings essential for optimize properties microalloy development automobile excellent properties.

Effect of Low Cycle Fatigue Predamage on Very High Cycle Fatigue Behavior of TC21 Titanium Alloy
The effect of low cycle fatigue (LCF) predamage on the subsequent very high cycle fatigue (VHCF) behavior is investigated in TC21 titanium alloy. LCF predamage is applied under 1.8% strain amplitude up to various fractions of the expected life and subsequent VHCF properties are determined using ultrasonic fatigue tests. Results show that 5% of predamage insignificantly affects the VHCF limit du...

in this study, the fatigue behavior of alloy steels with different hardness values was tested. results showed that the fatigue limit increases by the increment of hardness up to 400 vickers whereas it drops when the hardness value exceeds 400 vickers. fractographic observations using scanning electron microscopy revealed non-metallic inclusions as the dominant fatigue crack initiation sites. by...
متن کاملHigh-Cycle Microscopic Corrosion Fatigue Behavior and Life Prediction of 25CrMo Steel Used in Railway Axle
The effects of environmental media on the corrosion fatigue fracture behavior of 25CrMo steel were investigated. The media include air, and a 3.5 wt.% and a 5.0 wt.% NaCl solutions. Experimental results indicate that the media induces the initiation of corrosion fatigue cracks at multiple sites. The multi-cracking sites cause the changes in the crack growth directions, the crack growth rate dur...
متن کاملHigh-Cycle, Push–Pull Fatigue Fracture Behavior of High-C, Si–Al-Rich Nanostructured Bainite Steel
The high-cycle, push-pull fatigue fracture behavior of high-C, Si-Al-rich nanostructured bainitic steel was studied through the measurement of fatigue limits, a morphology examination and phase composition analysis of the fatigue fracture surface, as well as fractography of the fatigue crack propagation. The results demonstrated that the push-pull fatigue limits at 10⁷ cycles were estimated as ...
متن کاملThe Effect of High Cycle Fatigue Damage on Toughness of En8 Grade Steel Part Ii
Fatigue of metals is a subject of practical importance because many components and structures in service are subjected to varying loads and although the average stresses are often low, local concentration of stresses do not reduce the static strength but often lead to failure by fatigue. Micro-crack formation due to fatigue is more in ferritic-pearlitic annealed steel rather than in hardened an...
